I can see that people might think the mask alone would have been a bit weak, i think it's pretty awesome and changes the look of the statue a lot, how ever with the inclusion of the stand i think that makes it a great EX.
Just that were getting EX pieces now for the COTD is good thing imo

its a pretty sweet exclusive, especially with the stand. I ordered him, hes up for PO now.
Although I wish the mask came with the collectors edition and the ex was a switch-out morning star (weapon with handle and chain with spikey ball at the end). for some reason I think it would suit mortghull well
