It seems like you can move Luke's visor on or off his face. From what I remember at the Con, it was on his face and I thought that's how it was, but now it seems like his face is uncovered. Would be kewl if that happens. I'll most likely pick this one up as well.

According to the SW databank, dewbacks are 1.8 meters high (5.91 feet) and tauntauns are 1.3 - 2 meters high at shoulder (4.27 to 6.56 feet). So depending on how tall the dewback statue is, I think at 8 inches, this statue is in proper scale.
