It is possible that they did incorrectly assemble the statue's head into the body.

Here are pics of mine (ignore the dust-yikes)
  • First pic is just setting the head in
  • 2nd pic is properly placing the piece into the statue-you need to put the pointed part of the head piece in first
  • 3rd pic is the head placed on the statue properly

Thanks for the pics. If you notice the one I posted though, only one side of the V looks incorrect. is that possible to do?

it would be possible to put the headpiece in with one side in fine and the other not. Now when the headpiece goes into the body there are magnets holding it in but it could be that the person did not place the headpiece in properly.

MM came with instructions on how to remove and place the heads in. Could be these people selling never bothered to look. Or have thrown the instructions away and forgot how to properly place it in.

It's been a while since I've had this piece in-hand, but I do remember that you had to be careful to slip the neck portion of the portrait under those two gold badges.

Well, with statue prices doing what they are doing right now, I started thinking about TH Martian Manhunter. How much would a 2.0 cost by the time they make him? Will they even make him knowing what the likely market is for a $$$$ MM 2.0. So, since I always loved the 1.0 anyway, I decided to get him. No need for the EX, and he's perfect. And that cape is a thing of beauty... whenever I start to doubt my sculpted or fail stance on capes, I need to just look at this piece again.

Anyway, enjoy the pics.

I am glad that you decided to get him because I do think it is a fantastic statue
Yeah there might be a 2.0 version coming but who knows how much more it would be and I just think this one is such a good representation of the character

Unquestionably a sound purchase, regardless of what happens in the future.

There's always a new version of everything coming at some point. If we hold off, waiting for what’s next all the time, we’d never have the pleasure of enjoying any of them.
