How do you store your bicycle?
I've used a floor stand in the garage for years, but I'm trying to open up some space by using either ceiling- or wall-mounted hooks, or even a pulley system. I see pros and cons for all and am wondering what has worked for you.

when not on the floor I just have some basic ceiling hooks. Only downside to the ceiling is that I needed a ladder to put it up/down, but was no biggie. No room on the wall in my garage as I have everything else hanging (tools, etc.) so ceiling got it completely out of the way in the off season

I use a simple large hook from Home Depot to hang my sons' bikes. It's screwed onto the ceiling stud. I don't like hanging them too high....just in case it falls. And i put the hooks in the corner where i know my sons are less likely to go there.

Thanks guys. I think a ceiling mount (or maybe higher up on the wall) is the way to go, as far as freeing up space; however, I'd prefer something that holds onto the frame, rather than the wheels. I'll see what I can find...

I have the ceiling mount with a pulley system for mine and a high up wall mount for my wife's. I like the pulley system as it keeps the wall space free.

Basic rubber coated hooks on the garage wall. They cost next to nothing and depending how you set them up, you can have them hold onto the frame or wheels. I have mine set up to hold the frames. Takes me all of 5 seconds to pull one down or put one back up.
