Managed to finally get into the game after about 4 hours of feeling underwhelmed and quite enjoying it (on PC). It's not living up the hype it created and the technical issues are really frustrating me but I can see myself putting in plenty of hours regardless.

Nope, it's an open world RPG with very different combat mechanics.

Nah, it completely different combat mechanic (not based on counters like AC games).

It is a WRPG with solid combat and great dialogue and story. The combat is still pretty fast like SoM, but it is much less of a power fantasy than SoM was. If you want to get a taste for it I highly suggest picking up Witcher 2 and going from there. It is regularly < $5, and you will actually know what is happening in 3 and appreciate it more.

I bought collectors version on PS4. This game is absolutely masterpiece!! Lots of various quests, secrets, dangerous monsters. Gerald from Rivia is like detective who looking for a clues. Gameplay style is diffrent than in Skyrim. No grinding levels - quests and other activities are most important

Thanks guys. I did see Witcher 2 in the bargain bin the other day so will try it out first. I don't like most RPG games so this may not be my type of game. I do like the last 2 Final Fantasy games, although I have not finished any of them

Hopefully Prime1 will get the license for this game. I have only played up to Crookback Bog for the Baron's quest, but I feel strongly that this is the game of the year and one of the best games ever made. CDPR is also very good at listening to the fanbase and fixing many issues of the game.
