I can't take decent pics to save my life, especially at night with my lighting, but the paintwork and overall detail of this piece is astounding.
For those of you on the fence, pull the trigger while you can.

Guys I need your advise, I am torn right now on what to do.
Should I try to exchange this statue due to the paint chip on the back wing?
How bad does this affect the resell value of this statue if I choose to ever let it go?
I have heard of others having worse problems than me with the wings being attached and damage. Do I roll the dice on getting another one or just live with it?
Any insight is much appreciated,
P.S. - I have no painting experience.

I'd send the photo to the seller and see if they have any pieces set aside for replacement parts. All you really need is a replacement wing, not the entire statue exchanged.
If they don't have any, I'd try to get a partial refund to put towards getting a pro to repaint it.

The guy from Blizzard wasn't very helpful, he didn't seem to have any knowledge on replacement parts, he just said open a return for exchange. Send back the entire statue.
I will reach out to them again and see if I get a hold of someone different that actually knows more about the statues.

Take a stab at contacting Sideshow. You never know, they might be able to help you out.

If Blizzard can only exchange the entire statue (and not specific parts), then I would go for it and hope for the best. Probably less hassle then finding a pro painter and spending more money to repaint the wing.
Or like COI suggested, maybe Sideshow can step in and help you out since it's their product. Though they really have no obligation to since you didn't buy through them.
