Damn. My computer is right in front of my sculpting place. I guess that's double the dose?

I was kidding about the marriage thing.
I arranged the studio so that none of the real living space is near it. In all honesty I have noticed a great deal of difference in my demeanor, and... AND... my ability to focus.
I honestly believe that working with resin affects people differently. I have a forced air respirator that I use while pouring and also vent the fumes outside.
By doing so, I hope that I'm not cutting my life expectancy short. If I am, then I better outsource this casting thing to someone who has better equipment than I have.

What kind of Clay are you using? Water clay can form molds because of the moisture and this kind of mold ain't good for us Sculptors. What else did you bring into the room? Turpenoid? Alcohol? There may be fumes escaping. How about lighting? Your room may not a good lighting source for sculpting and your eyes are getting more exhausted than you thought, causing the nausea. Got good ventilation? just some things to keep in mind. TC.

thought I'd chime in here about sculpey clay softener. It has my hands severely irritated. I know it has to be the culprit cause I've never had probs until I used it the other night. now I've got red itchy spots all over my hands. It's makin it a real pain to work :/

Hahah...
Horrible joke, but true, agreed.
Sonciscape (sp), I don't sculpt.. but my jobs keep me cooped up in a studio (let alone a sealed/sound-proofed one). Exhaustion definitely sets in if there's not enough ventilation.. I'd crack a door or window, as others have suggested. Or just break off from work and take a twenty minute walk outside every few hours to re-circulate your system.
Keep in mind I'm no doctor.. just things I myself would do.

Have yourself proper protection is a part of being a pro.
Just like any other fields, an experienced expert will always try to minimize any potential damages the activity might cause.
Any sports profressionals would protect their limbs while they're exposed to all srots of possible harms imposed by the thing they do.
Another reason I'm not good enough to be any kind of pro, when I spray paints I wear no protection and the throttle is full of fume which usually give me a headache later.
when I sculpt I wipe my hands on my shirt/pants, some got on my face and cause allergic reaction.
I mean if I keep working like this I'd be history before I know it.
Just made up the new year decision that I'll start wearing protection from now on...
We're talking about a long run here.
