I have to agree. I think the P1 version is far, far better for all the reasons you gave. The Robins look pretty clean cut lol.

I am not fond of the wings either. Would rather prefer they give switchouts with different weapons and ditch the wings.

I think people would rather have a comic accurate version of this character instead of it being based on a one-off custom cover.... In the comics he's never had wings of any type... I think in the end it will hurt sales of this statue. I also think the robins should be looking out towards the person looking at the statue it's more creepy vs having them look up at Batman who laughs...

Knowing XM, I'd be surprised if the wings weren't optional on this piece, and can cap off the holes if you don't want to use them - at least you'd hope that was the case as you are right, basing this off one cover (perhaps to set it apart from the Prime 1 version?), when he doesn't have wings in the comics seems strange and limiting from a sales perspective for sure.

I believe they already said the wings were optional.
I love the pose but I do agree with others after looking at the source material more, that the robins need to be more menancing and scary. Hopefully they add to their sculpt and make them more comic accurate.

I like the Prime 1 better. Just like others have said for themselves, if it was 1/4 I would’ve bought it.
I don’t like the crouching pose on this one. But this is a render, we’ll see once an actual statue is shown.
And then we’ll see if SS does their own maquette (doubt it’d be a PF if made did him)

I don't think XM will beat how awesome the Prime 1 version is. Good to see people get a 1/4 option though. I'm surprised Sideshow hasn't done this character yet.
