What did we learn? Never send your very first statue to someone who is gonna take crappy iPhone pics right off the bat.

Yup. I think it has more to do with collectors value their opinion on a piece more than if it was sent to someone else who takes great pics but isn’t well known in the community.

We see this problem within the first few days of nearly every peice released and not just speaking in terms of PCS.

I am still amazed when I see people with old join dates and/or lots of post....you should know these things by now.

If ANY piece looked AS GOOD in a pic as it does in person...we would all just buy posters / prints.

Lighting, angle, camera quality, filters, focal distance...all these things play a role.

If you never seen any of these pieces in person or if these were the first pics you have seen of them...you would probably think all these pieces have bad paint and are probably washed out.

Lord of Darkness worked out pretty good. It's not a character i obsess over, or a statue i have on order. I'm in no place to comment on likeness. I have seen the movie. The red/pink used on the statue looks great. Maybe in the movie her was more red.
