I saw the movie today, 9/10 from me, a must watch for Alien Fans, answers alot of questions. Anyway, didn't realise how much I missed the sound this pulse rifle makes, absolutely marvellous.

The RPF has some people making good progress on replicas.

My big concern is this being a big chunk of moulded fiberglass with no individual parts, in opposite of custom replicas I saw that are built in several parts like a real weapon would be.
For example I see in the last picture that the magazine is totally fused to the main body, as almost all pieces that should be separate components. That's the route companies go to cheapen costs, and it's very far from I consider a good replica.

Yeah, that's why I didn't go with HCG's M41A Pulse Rifle, it's the stunt version that is solid resin...instead I got an airsoft PR with working parts for much cheaper and modified it, and it ended up being a very satisfying project. However with this Romulus PR, I'm fine with sacrificing the moving parts for the authenticity, and I think the weathered paint job looks great, as long as the production pieces can match it.

That is scanned from the original prop is a big plus yes. I don't know if it could be customized like the very first PR HCG did, those aluminium shrouds were gold. We'll see if we can do something.
Or simply look a it as a stunt prop, which is very pleasing too. In that case I will try to install real leds on it at least.

Those are cool, I wish I was into props back when those came out...I imagine they're quite expensive when they pop up on the secondary market.
