Dresden (southeast of Germany, was bombed in the last days of 2nd WW by the Allies, the centre of Dresden was destroyed nearly completely):

Beautiful photos !

Are all of those buildings from Dresden ?
I saw a whole documentary on the bombing of Dresden and am surprised anything survived.

It's a damn shame to think just how much was lost during WW2.

Thanks! Most of these buildings were partially or completely destroyed and later rebuild, i.e. the Semperoper: The first building on this place was the new Kings Theatre, finished in 1841. In 1869 it was destroyed by fire. The second Theatre on this place was built by the plans of Gottfried Semper - the new Opera - later called "Semper Opera". It was destroyed 1945 by allied bombs. The third building was finished in 1985, after 8 years work and another 8 years of plannings.

Glad they were able to restore some of those amazing buildings.

Dresden must have looked like a fairy Tale city before the bombings.
