History of the Marvel Universe by Waid

With Waid writing, and this being a story and timeline kind of thing, I’m in.

Didn't Busiek & Ross do this with Marvels back in 1994? Or do you think it'll be different?

Waid is not my favorite by a long shot. Hope this won’t be some revisionist history garbage.

I think this will be different. Marvel’s focused on a single silver age time period. This will start at the beginning of time, cover much more ground but probably not nearly as much in depth.

I doubt it’ll be revisionist. And different strokes. I thought Waid was awesome on Captain America (first run), FF and Daredevil.

Looks a lot like the History of The DC Universe from the eighties. I am in.

The DC History didn't have a story line and was more of a reference piece.

I love these kinds of things. Writing a good summary isn't as subjective as writing original stories.

I have every book from the Marvel role playing game from way back. Never played it but loved reading each character's bio and the history. It's where a good 80% of my Marvel knowledge comes from.

Used to dream when that once I was done with college and finally working in my mid 20s I would have money to go and purchase all the old stories and read them first hand. Now they're all easily accessible digitally but no free time.

Art in the ad looks great.
