I figured I wouldn't be getting the Semic Storm because shipping from EU was cost prohibitive for me. Well, this weekend she went up with free Prime shipping on Amazon, 1-day shipping to boot, for $99, so I had to pull the trigger. I was super excited.

Sadly, as soon as I opened the Amazon box, I knew it was a nightmare. Her box was beat to hell, but not from shipping, it was worn, smashed, and clearly packing taped up that was not from the manufacturer.

I knew right then I had to document it as I opened her up. Next stage was a crapy re-do of the packing tape holding the styrofoam together. Then her hand/fingers were poking through the plastic bag surrounding her. No way that happened from the factory.

I opened her up and she had white blushing all over her paint, it was really bad. I found the massive puddles of superglue someone slopped all over her, to clearly reattach her to the base. She was super messed up, and terribly repaired.

I contacted Amazon and they were down to 1 in stock, and I was thankfully able to get her as a replacement. I have her now, and she's vastly improved. I'll have to get pics of her, but she's very pretty. The mohawk is great.

Lots of stress later, I'm super happy to finally have her.

I'm including some pics of the horrible crap that either the seller or a prior buyer tried to pawn off on me. Be careful if you buy from "KiarenzaFD" on Amazon.

I'm pretty sure Semic didn't make that Storm. The only ones they've made so far is Wolverine and Deadpool with Magneto in the pipeline..

I don't know why people buy from random sellers on Amazon. You won't get burned once you set higher standards.

Hmmm, I know the manufacturer on it is Semic, but maybe I'm incorrect and it's a different Semic? Not Semic Prototypez? My apologies if I'm in the incorrect area.

EDIT: They have the same logo: http://www.semic-studio.com I'm 99.99% sure it's the same company.

The seller had really good ratings, are in Italy (since this was a European only release I figured they might have better access to good stock), and it was with Prime shipping, not some fly-by-night rando shipping straight from Europe, so I was hoping they were quality. Clearly, I was incorrect in that hope. With Prime you at least have to deal with Amazon for the main support options, which is better than working with the seller directly in a lot of cases.

This was a short lived partnership between Semic and Prototype Z. Erick isn’t working with them anymore.

So does that mean the Marvel 1:6 line is dead? I'm guessing Magneto got cancelled then?

Well.. you probably know as much about this as I do.
They never really did much leg work in terms of promoting the brand, got a FB page after I hounded them for months.

Very very disappointed, I bought Deadpool and Wolverine hoping to complete a 1/6 line...

So now, how do I get a good Cable or a good Venom in 1/6? Diamond select premier collection Cable but he seems undersized and the future Venom Kotobukiya ARTFX ?
