Alpha - 8/10. More realistic depiction of life back then and survival in the wild.

Princess Mononoke (1997) - On a journey to find the cure for a Tatarigami's curse, A----aka finds himself in the middle of a war between the forest gods and Tatara, a mining colony. In this quest he also meets San, the Mononoke Hime.
Of all the Studio Ghibli movies I've seen, this one is my favorite. 10/10
Chungking Express (1994) - Two melancholy Hong Kong policemen fall in love: one with a mysterious female underworld figure, the other with a beautiful and ethereal server at a late-night restaurant he frequents.
I would have liked this more if I knew more about it beforehand. The second storyline had more appeal than the first which I'd like to investigate further. 7/10
In the Realm of the Senses (1976) - A passionate telling of the story of Sada Abe, a woman whose affair with her master led to a sexual obsession which then came to a violent end.
This is one dirty movie. 7/10

I actually loved it. 8/10
I’m probably the only one who saw it but it was a lot of fun and a good movie. Enjoyed it probably more than any other movie this summer too.

Godfather Part 1 - 10/10, a true cinematic masterpiece
watched it with the girlfriend who has never seen these movies before, she loved it
I need to ask as this seems to be a heated question for movie fans, which is better, godfather part 1 or part 2?
Im going to rewatch part 2 soon, but i've always slightly preferred part 1

That is a tough question. Personally I slightly prefer Godfather 2 myself. Loved the mixed timelines and DeNiro’s performance. Plus Michael coming into his own was a high point.

Paradox 7/10
A different take on time travel movie, well kind of different, I don't want to give anything away but I really liked it even though I thought had it figured out early and thought I had it right, until the very end

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
I went to a late-night IMAX screening for this new restored version and had the entire theater to myself! It was one of the greatest cinematic experiences of my life. 10/10
