Hey guys and gals,
I adore the work of UDON and think they have some of the best artists in their crew. Below are the pieces I have had commissioned thus far.
"Final M. Bison" by Joe Ng (2009): (Also known as Shin Bison) An alternate version of M. Bison with far more powerful abilities and fewer weaknesses. This superior version of M. Bison is meant to portray him when he decides to unleash the true, vast depths of his psycho power. The only canon appearance of Final M. Bison takes place in Street Fighter Alpha 3 (Serving as the final boss for every character except Evil Ryu, who fights Shin Akuma, and of course M. Bison himself). Shin Bison is featured with a white suit and indigo colored skin and is seen in Street Fighter EX3.
"Evil Ryu" by Joe Vriens (2010): Evil Ryu surging with the power of the Dark Hadou!
"Supa-Saikyo Dan Hibiki" by Jeffrey "Chamba" Cruz (2010) : So if Ryu becomes Evil Ryu amd Ken becomes Violent Ken... what does Dan become? He's so pure, he wouldn't become evil at all... he would become Super! Supa-Saikyo Dan!
"Heavenly Mode Go Hibiki" by Jeffrey "Chamba" Cruz (2011): A very obscure character from the Street Fighter universe, Go Hibiki has never appeared as a playable character (As he died pre-Street Fighter). Go fell at the hands of the King of Muay Thai after taking the eye of Sagat in battle. He is, however, frequently mentioned in games featuring Dan. Go only appears in Pocket Fighter as a cameo in several of Dan's attacks. His appearance is similar to Dan's - however, he has a green gi, red skin, and a very long nose.
Although he has been re-designed by Omar Dogan from the UDON crew to look more like a "Normal" older man, this commission is based on the only official piece of Capcom art from his Pocket Fighter debut -Showcasing the green gi, tengu style nose, father kanji and red skin... except he's super powered and in "Heavenly Mode" ready to fight side-by-side with his son, "Supa-Saikyo" Dan!
Side note: The "Supa-Saikyo Dan Hibiki" and "Heavenly Mode Go Hibiki" are companion pieces. The kanji on Dan's back means "Saikyo" (Meaning the best or greatest) and the kanji on Go's back means "Father".
"Evil Ryu" by Alvin Lee (2008): Evil Ryu powering up!
"Violent Ken" by Alvin Lee (2013): Violent Ken powering up!
"Evil Ryu" by Long Vo (2014): Evil Ryu surging with the power of the Dark Hadou, about to unleash a Metsu-Shoryuken - The same dark technique that scarred Sagat.
"Guile" by Joe Ng (2014): Guile unleashing his ultra move - The Sonic Hurricane!
"M. Bison" by Alvin Lee (2014): M. Bison charging up his Psycho Power!
"Shin Akuma" by Alvin Lee (2014): Unleashing the full extent of the Satsui no Hado, Shin Akuma is performing the forbidden move of the Ansatsuken fighting style - The Shun Goku Satsu, with the "Shin" kanji exploding in the background!
Side note: The "Shin" kanji includes the kanji "Kami" (神) (Which means "god") and is superimposed over the kanji Hito (人) (Which means person - Possibly expressing the idea of a "person" who has become a "god").
If anyone else has some Street Fighter art by the artists at UDON (Or any UDON or Street Fighter art in general) it would be great to see it!
Thanks for looking,
- AF
