That was my first impression when I saw this. Now after looking at it more it looks like a 12 year old girl dressed up as She-ra.

I took an IQ test and the results were negative.

As far as having this "vetted", I don't personally care that Mattel approved it , they also approved that awful she-ra bust that sideshow put out.

Anyway , they can't all be home-runs. Love the rest of the line and hoping for merman soon !!

We are many people to dislike the design of She-ra...

I know it is not easy to sculpt, and the perfection don't exist, but maybe PSC should think and propose a new head...?

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I'm going to wait for better pics, reserving any judgement until then. Different angles and lighting may help. Similar situation happened with The Sorceress. Different angles and lighting changed a lot of people's opinions.

I'm buying regardless, but I do think that the eyes could be fixed up a little bit. I think they way they look right now--at least in that one photo--is what's throwing people off.

I agree. Some people are overreacting a bit in my opinion. She'll be on display at Wondercon in a few days so put away the torches and wait for more pictures and attendee opinions.

People who have seen it say it in person say it is good. How can you refute that with the single picture we have?

This is what it is what I see. The eyes are too round and big. Needs to be a bit thinner and define like Teela, or sorceress from the cartoon face. But other than that the rest I think looks really close. Just cover her eyes in the pic and next to the cartoon she looks very good. I have no issues with the base since it is she ra's universe. But again more pics will be best to know for sure. It could be just the pic that is off.

Before reading any comments my first impression was that it looked like a Barbie doll. I see now others had the same reaction. The face looks much younger than the cartoon character. Maybe it is a lightning issue to some degree but I think this needs some minor improvements to make it accurate to the cartoon.

Well there are 2 pictures from the newsletter. Lower angle. They fairly well confirm each other.

Don't have out any pitch forks as I don't believe anything will change but...

Exactly. Why is criticism any less valid than praise? I can only go by the two pics I see. I hope I'm wrong as I love the character and everything else about the statue. It's just the face from what I see...
