Sheffield to Detriot
I think its a great move by the Tigers. Leyland should keep Shef in place and a big bat like that in an already good line up can make things scary for other teams. The only question that remains to be seen is whether the Tigers paid too much on the contract extension. Considering his production at his age I don't him changing barring a major injury.

Great move by the Tigers? Man, it was an AWSOME move for the Yankees. Get that selfish prick out of here and make room for a team player!!

Good luck the only teams that would trade for these bums are teams that are trying to get rid of their own headaches...pick your poison.

Well the bright side is that they were able to get some pitching prospects out of the deal Its not like they wanted to keep him anyway. While Bobby is younger and maybe less expensive (not sure but I'll check) I don't think he is as good but then again with that line up he can afford to be a bum.

the 3 prospects are solid. one in particular is a "stud." guy by the name of Sanchez. he has the dominating stuff the yankees have been lacking. he'll start the season in triple-A, with a chance to make the team in spring training, and possibly beating out the Yanks #1 pitching prospect, Philip Hughes. of course that all depends on whether the Yanks go after a Marque pitcher in the off-season, and possibly use him as a chip for the deal.
