Statue + Art box but with no foam question

I guys, I have a general question regarding statues with art box but with no foam inside. How much drop in the value from the going rate is it going to be? Many thanks in advance!

My guess 25% although I would never buy it. The art box is pretty well worthless without the styrofoam.

Bubble wrap the figure with a lot of bubble wrap and then load that in a box with packing peanuts. The statue will move around some so be sure it's in a decent size box.

I would (and did this recently) go out to your local craft store and buy a nice amount of foam padding. You can buy by the square foot.

Then layer and cutout shapes to match the fit of the piece.

Great idea for storing statues that may be missing a box but not sure I'd go to that much trouble to ship one.

I just meant the place I bought from sold by the square foot, not that you only buy them in a square foot. Larger dimensions just mean using larger pieces.

oh yeah no i know. lol my concern is will this work on statues like the spidey milestone i was talking about. i don't know if i can just stack the foam to fully protect the statue? that means customizing holes for each stacked foam which i don't know if its a good idea. i'm not sure if i am being clear or not. lol

I too would never buy it. So as far as affecting value goes, it is at least 2 people passing on purchasing.

If you put it up for sale, you'll get low ball offers. People who may buy may be customizers who don't care if it is damaged since they'll be modifying it.
