It does look impressive overall. The colours really pop, very eye-catching.

I've tried hard to like this statue but the design of the suit just doesn't match the true classic version I have in mind. It is far too close to the movie version instead.

The muscle tone looks quite strange. I know the sculptor is trying to blend natural muscles with the look of the robotic suit but it doesn't work at all, not to me anyway, especially those on the back and the arms.

1:3 scale is far too large IMO (34" tall!!!). After seeing the comparison in the video, I would much prefer their old 1:4 scale Ironman statue. It is much more sensible.

One needs to have a massive space like Art Statue Collector does in order to have a proper display for such over-sized statues.

Jay Sia just said he will make some updates based on community feedback back such as lighten the skin tone on Tony Stark. Great to have a company listen to feedback and try to put out the best product possible.

The skin tone on Tony Stark is the least of the issues with this, a billionare will probably have a Sun tan anyways.

If they want to listen to community feedback then offer a version with true classic style arms & legs which many are asking for and were excpecting when this "Layton inspired" piece was first announced.

It is pretty amazing how phobic statue companies are of that classic design. Everyone one of them thinks "we have to make it a bit more modern!"

I don’t think it’s close enough to the movie suits. The classic suit is iconic, but the later ones from comics and movies I’m sure are much more popular.

@majestic1, what specifically do you mean by the arms and legs? Is it the color? Or too much muscle tone? Just wondering bc that classic pic still has the muscular tone maybe a bit less

I totally agree. I?m disappointed in the direction that they went with this piece, especially with those protruding kneecaps.. I think legendary beast is a fantastic company, and they are coming out with amazing product?.. but like most companies I guess they want to play it safe even if it means sacrificing those classic elements??. and I got the Captain and I have Thor and the Hulk on pre-order all of which are classic enough but this one unfortunately for me?..will not make it to my collection. I will have to just tell the captain and Thor that I?m sorry Ironman just couldn?t make it.. ?

Huge fail!! I like LBS but the art direction on this statue it's all over the place, with modern elements on a classic armor, so it's not the iconic Bob Layton classic armor as it was advertised by Jay Sia!
Tony stark headsculpt looks like a Mexican and the light up feature is awful and outdated by todays standards, they should have gone with a controlled remote!! Hard pass, will wait for Thanos now!

The arms and legs on this LBS piece have fake armored muscle sections on them plus joints and knee caps, the classic suit was Starks actual muscles visible under a very thin 'micro-mesh'/ nano-tech style armor, kind of like a regular skin tight super hero costume. Many times statue companies try to make the classic suit look more realistic by making it look like an actual functional real world suit but that just ruins the timeless aesthetic of the iconic classic imo.
