They have edition sizes, we just don't know what they are yet because GG sucks at keeping their site updated in this regard.

If you ordered from a place that placed an order with Diamond distributor, Damond is known for cancelling orders for items that have failed to be delivered and resoliciting the item later.
If you ordered from a comicbook shop, they get their stuff throug Diamond. And other retailers order from them too.

I sent a message to GG yesterday and received a fast reply:
Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us on this one. We are still producing that item it has not been cancelled. More announcements about its release will be coming soon.

I guessed there was a maximum limit being made. If it is still available for pre order either
A. They are making many of them.
B. There is a limit, but not many have pre ordered.

You forgot the most likely scenario.
C. They haven't started production yet.

I doubt strongly that these have been in for production for two years! More likely they've been pushed back for what GG believes are more 'lucrative' projects! So, in real terms, the quality is unlikely to be any better (could be worse, of course) than any other product they have managed to bring to market.

Exactly. I posted that before and I'm almost 100% sure it's the case.

Since the Honey Trap line is an original property (no licenses fees) it stands to reason this would be the more "lucrative project" compared to their other licensed merchandise.
I'd wager the long delays are due to their manufacturing limitations and making their licensed product a priority. I could see this being done for a couple reasons... firstly to maintain the license but it's also likely they need to produce a minimum amount of product to turn a profit and offset the licensing fees. If their licensed product is more lucrative it's probably due to sheer volume more than anything.
Licensed products like Star Wars and Marvel also have a much stronger collector base while Honey Trap is very much a niche line. Keeping those collectors interested is a priority to keep the company viable in the growing collector market.
