I understand you feel you shouldn't have to use a hairdryer, funny thing is I just received my ECC Mohawk statue and in the box was instructions and an image of a hairdryer to use on the spikes if it doesn't sit flush in his back. Luckily I had no issues and everything fits perfectly.
I agree these fitment issues is more a transporting issue and how long they sit in shipping containers or docks before they arrive in our houses, which is why results are varied.
I wouldn't stress too much, it all seems fixable as demonstrated above.

I have blue as well with the same issues. I was also able to get my blue to fit eventually. This is NOTHING even close to blue. There is not a chance this is going to fit in.

Did you find your bonus piece? It’s in ther just VERY easy to miss. I initially thought they didn’t include it.
As for setting the statue in place, while I agree it shouldn’t be that difficult, it can be done. People complain about the Rex and now this not seating properly but both of mine went in after a little bit of elbow grease. Difficult for sure, which is why I think m people assume it just will not go in and give up. This spino took me 10 minutes of sweat and bad words to finally get in. It wasn’t till I said pissed off enough and thought f-it if it scratches I don’t care did I get it in seconds later. The middle nail on the right foot had to be slid over the mud print with some force, but didn’t end up scratching after all.

Great display and apologies if you've answered this question before, but what display cases are you using?
