Possible early ARH statues - any ideas???

Hi,

I started this thread under the General Statue forum but someone suggested I might be better off on this forum. Does not look like I can move the thread so I am just duplicating it here.

I am looking for some help identifying some Marvel statues that were produced in Brazil in the early 2000s. My notes indicate the company or designer for most of them was “ARH” (which may be a USA company now), although I have a Doctor Doom statute from around 2002 that my notes indicate was “Almeida Designs”.

I uploaded images of two of them (Invisible Woman of the FF). I purchased these two in 2003. To get an idea of scale, one of the images shows them with a comparable, full-size Bowen statue of the same era.

I am looking for any input on the history or provenance of these items. Any thoughts or comments?

Thanks

Danel

There was a thread on this forum years ago (circa 2004) that discussed ARH statues from Brazil (link below). Part of the discussion indicated the artist was moving to the USA and would resurface here. The artist's name was Arahom Radjah who I believe is associated with ARH Studios (link also below).

So this ARH forum is not concerned with ARH Studios?

This sub-forum is definitely for Arahom Radjah's ARH.

Try again with the link to the thread discussion as the link you posted has the thread info truncated.

Never heard of him doing Marvel Licenses. He does not visit here in any visible capacity but he is on Facebook and active with emails so you can try there.

From and old Arahom post in 2009:

First of all I want to tell that I'm really happy for having this section here for ARH Studios.

Thanks to Galactus and all the SF team and mods that made this possible!

Second, I would like to request all of you to keep this section about our current work with ARH Studios Inc. Of course if you guys want to show off some of the kits and stuff I did in the past, its cool, but let's not forget that this place is about what we are doing now!

Thanks to all of you, and let's have some fun here~!

Below is the correct link to the older thread on ARH statues produced by Aroham Radjah in his early days in Brazil. I understand this sub-forum may only be focused on more current work from the USA version of ARH (not sure about that though). If so, I will not hang around here and bug folks.

My objective is to establish some provenance and history on the statues I have. (Who made them, where, when, how many – that sort of thing.) The reason for that is I am retired and have decided to seriously downgrade my stuff so that my kids aren’t stuck with it one day and I would like to pass on any information I have to the new owners. Failing to document those things is how items pass into obscurity and become curiosities instead of interesting and fun art pieces.

I have two Invisible Woman statues, a Human Torch, Thing, Silver Surfer, and a possible Doctor Doom.

I have tried to PM Aroham on this board and through the site but have not heard anything back yet. Basically, I am just looking for leads.

Thanks for the heads-up. Unfortunately (actually not unfortunately), I do not have a FB account.
