I do a "hand check" when assessing a statue's gaze. I'll cover up one side of the face and look at the direction of the eye on the uncovered side then do the same for the opposite.
I don't mind if its slightly off but this is just outside of my personal preference/tolerance.
Unfortunate as I was really looking forward to this piece.
I'd be totally ok with that portrait.
Which is why we keep getting that.

Looks great man, but I still think the left pupil is just a tiny bit too far left. Might not be as bad as other examples, but you can def. see it on your piece.
It's easy to spot if you're looking for it, but it might be a bit harder if you're ignorant of the "issue". It might not be an issue to some, however.
