That must be by boat then? I could've swore those 2 pieces were substantially more to ship. I could live with $300 as that's pretty close to the norm for a XM piece.

+1 base is too big only due to XM continuously marketing it next to Cap. It throws off the matching/set vibe. If Cap's base had the same footprint then it would had been awesome. Since that can't be done they should try to make the base a bit smaller for Thor IMO.

I wish there was a stripped down option with this- no switchouts, just the classic head and hammer + a basic stripped down base.

That + a commensurately lower price would be almost impossible for me to resist.

Probably for the best that won't be happening.

Looking ahead post this (and Magneto and the eventual Iron Man), I'd love to see LBS tackle a 1/3 Doctor Doom in a strong museum pose- maybe a switch out hand with a goblet and a tesseract.

A 1/3 classic Crockum/Byrne Storm could be a magnificent presence too.

It would be cool to have this Thor, but I have to keep reminding myself that there are several other characters I would blow my mind (and budget) over if they get produced and executed well- and it might just be better to keep my powder dry for a while.

Still looking forward to the pics though.
