The problem is everyone IS EXPECTING SS PROTO paint ups. You all say you are not, but the proof is in the pudding. YOU DO!! ADMIT IT! The reason I say this is because THAT IS THE ONLY THING YOU HAVE TO COMPARE IT TO.

Sounds like collector hypocrisy IMO. Fact of the matter is, when some of you recieve her, you will be flabergasted with how well painted she is (at least from the pics I have seen). Paints look crisp and clean. It must just be me...maybe I need newer glasses.
No.

I'm expecting to get commensurate quality to some of the better SS production pieces I already have.

Give me the quality of eyes we got on the Batgirl PF...

Give me skin tone like we got on the Prize dio...

Give me a paint-job on the base with similar complexity to the Queen of Blades statue...

Why do people keep disregarding all the times Sideshow has pulled off difficult/complex pieces to keep beating the same "don't expect the prototype" drum, ESPECIALLY with a piece like this where the price was raised significantly?

Why does no one address these points?

I can only speak for myself but it's because I didn't PO. If I had I may have a different point of view. Having it come out a little sub par is working in my favor.

POing is becoming less and less appealing to me.

Certain aspects will not change for in-hand pics. The issue for me isn't that this piece is nice as-is, it's just about what different people look for in a piece. And in my case, it's what I want when I'm spending close to $1000 of my money. I'm not disputing that this might look really nice in-hand and satisfy a lot of people.

I don't think things coming out a little sub-par works in anyone's favor. You want things to be stellar, so that the next time that character you've always wanted gets made, you can be confident in ordering. I want to live in a world where I can jump on pre-orders without hesitation.

Agreed. The fact that you can still get the ex at only 1500 with that amount of time is telling.

I think 'collectors' backed off because of the price and what happen on the first one but we are only 3% of the business so who the hell knows.

What if I can get it at a nice discount and use that money towards a repaint?
