It's a safe bet. Alex is an important character. Alex was the winner of the SFIII tournament. SFV is presumed to take place around SFIII, in the timeline.

Alex will be back, its on the billboard in the skate board stage in SF4, just can't see it unless you get someone who can do a ultra or jump high in that area. Plus people on PC hacked the game to see full backgrounds and its there.

they haven't even had location tests on it yet, so don't expect it done anytime soon. won't be out till 2016
just from from the test build they been showing off at events now you can tell its bare bones atm. To slow and clunky but as time goes on will change...i hope.
Im still worried they keep posted about how they want it to be new player friendly, scares me cause it sounds like its going to be dumbed down.

I have a theory that they are showing this stuff off earlier than normal for business purposes. Primarily pressure from Sony.
But I could be wrong.
Seems like they are still experimenting around with stuff - much more so than SF4 and SFxT.

Its more they are worried about MK coming out.
They are afraid of people moving on and not caring since Ultra killed their steam of popularity.
