I love Silence and I've had Hannibal season 1 sitting on my shelf unwatched for months. I keep meaning to watch it, but havent yet. Putting it on the same level as Silence is a pretty big endorsement.

John Wick: 8/10 - Despite the horrible puppy incident, it was a lot of fun. I was expecting more of a straight forward 'Taken' style revenge flick, but was pleasantly surprised by the fraternity of assassins spin on things. And who doesn't love a bit of gun-fu Keanu style

In a World (2013) Starring and Directed by Lake Bell as daughter of Voice Over legend trying to break into the industry herself. Witty drama. 6/10

I am right there with you, Nidgit. I rated it a while ago. Loved it. News of a sequel is welcome.

Man on Fire - 8.5/10

One of Tony Scott's best. A very well done narrative that's both engaging and thought provoking at the same time. I loved the visual filming style used in this film. Location shots really set the mood well. Stand out performances for me were Denzel Washington and Christopher Walken. I think this performance is in the top 5 of Denzel's body of work so far. Highly recommended.

My favorite performance from Denzel and my favorite film from Tony Scott. Best action/revenge pic ever! I always thought this was a perfect model for a Punisher film.

I agree. Man on Fire would be a good model for a Punisher film. As far as Denzel goes, I think his performance in 'Training Day' is slightly better. He nailed that part so well with the attitude, line delivery, and his over all look and presence on screen. The way he handled the final scenes with Ethan Hawke and then in the ambush. Great stuff!
