You can still order their Berserker Reg Version which is only a 50 Edition Sized piece, which I did. Let that sink in.
To be fair, that is an industry wide issue, most manufacturers and even retailers pull that. Upsets me as well.

If the busts sold well I imagine they would have continued the line. The in-between scale and high cost kept most people away who didn't buy just to pair with the statue.

The thing that killed the bust line imo with the City Hunter is, The Awkward Head turn, mediocre paint apps on head and poor packaging causing quill damage I assumed. They didn't bring their A game on that one.

Not a lot of preorders though, the low ES was announced before it started shipping IIRC.

It just wasn't a must-have for people. It wasn't the most popular expression for the character (the hissing face was) and those who didn't buy the statue would've likely preferred one of the other heads. That's what made the Jungle Hunter bust such a hit, even with the pricing controversy. Everyone wanted that pissed-off, cockeyed portrait whether they bought the full statue or not.

If they were to solicit a Wolf bust, they'd probably get more orders reusing one of the roaring portraits - or the battle-damaged helmet. Think that would've sold more units than using it as a "patron bonus."

It's wild how many people on FB think this is really almost sold out. I guess people have select memory when they pulled this very same thing with the closed mouth Predator bust. That thing was still available after it started shipping.

Do people also not remember how loved the JH was when it first went up for PO? I'd say the hype was waaaaaaay more than Wolf. JH also went up for order when the economy wasn't complete crap. Shipping could easily go up on Wolf and economy shipping is already sitting close to $1k.

I’m seeing that too. The “i’m glad I preordered this when I did” is a little comical. But hey, from a business perspective, you can?t blame P1 if it works. Shady, but effective.

Haha, you have to love the mentality of some people. Let sheep be sheep. It's best to order from a local retailer to save on shipping costs and tax, which I will be doing.

Yes, I agree with all of you that their tactics to create demand are questionable. Look at the JH close-mouthed bust.

Pretty sure that the 999 edition number is just a placeholder to see how many pre-orders they have.

More shockingly to me is the Patreon nonsense they started doing for the plasma caster and battle-damaged mask; this is just getting ridiculous.

You have to order this and that to get this edition.

i won't be surprised in the future if Prime 1 adopts something like AP/Hermes, you have to spend a certain amount if you want this add-on on

JH hype was the real deal. You had collectors coming back out of the game after decades wanting to buy one. Thread count went mental. I think around 30 collectors on the thread actually bought one. The statue went from excellent to superlative after the improvements.

Compared to Wolf, currently is listed as 'low stock', likely one or two collectors here have PO'd the thing (maybe even none so far given the current economic climate). From memory the JH took about 3 weeks (or was it 3 months) to reach 'low stock'. Wolf took less than 48 hours lol

Thumbs up

There are not so many collectors for these large 1:3 Pred and Aliens as they think. Just a few rich ones and movie fanboys
The ES of the other versions are pretty low. Prime knows this already after the P2. they already tried the lure with very low ES (150 / 50 /30 etc).

JH had high ES 999 Bonus / 500 DX / 300 REG (total 1800 pcs) and the bonus is still in stock even after the real enormous discount they did last year.

Even when they make Wolf ES 999 / plus let say 150 DX and 75 Reg this will not sell out either. It is all fake (most is allocated to resellers).
There is no rush at all to PO. They went large ES again, so promotions and long sale run. you can wait even till pictures in hand.

Edit: This time Europe approx same price as USA (Bonus 3100euro) (SpecFic has it for $3639 incl shipping / BBTS $3314 incl shipping excl tariff)
Australia even better Sugo Bonus atm AU$ 4.910 (2758euro)

Promotions start early / already 450euro lower than JH at start / the P2 City Hunter was so overpriced compared to this.

Question

Also have you seen this FB question.

Q1: Johnny "flexible silicone dreadlocks" do you confirm? Thanks

A: Prime / Nelson Saito:
Sorry for the confusion. We will get it corrected. Thank you so much for pointing it out.

Remark1: I was hoping for it, think they're easier to position. I imagine the Feral Predator was an exception because of the hair being too long.

Q2: The current dreads on the promo look nice too (some stiffness gives a little volume). Is Prime1 not afraid 'silicone ones' will just hang down like thin spaghetti without any volume to it ?

-- --

What are the thoughts here about silicon as hair ?

- flabby material for dreads and hang straight down?
- is that prone to breaking over time?
- hard to paint and can easily peel/flake off?
