I skipped the first release because of the butter-face. And seeing as how Sideshow's QC is in the toilet these days, I can't see this statue being any good.

I'm interested; I like the character very much. But there's a 65% chance this will end up a flop.

I have the coolest lady death statue in the world. I have no need for this one. Mine has been signed and sketched by the king of booty, Tim Miller. I am going to assume this one will have more T & A.

And people ask me why I don't like T&A.
This statue is a waste of resources, same as the new Red Sonja PF announced right after they finished shipping the older Red Sonja PF. Sideshow has a huge backlog on their exsisting lines already.

I know what you're getting at, but you're really fixated on T&A while plenty of other characters like Iron Man, Hulk and Batman are being way overdone. T&A isn't the only reason you might not be getting certain pieces you want.

Also, I'm biased, but Red Sonja gets a pass from me because I grew up with the character.

Both are owned by Dynamite now, so there's a chance we may see one of both of those eventually. It's kind of strange that Lady Demon and Lady Death are owned by different publishers.

On another note, I think all this new release is going to accomplish is diminishing the little value that the original has gained in the after market. Lately that seems like a goal of sideshow. Kill any profit that collectors might be making through resale.

You really can't collect with the intention to flip for profit anymore. Even if they don't revisit a character, they still make thousands of every piece.

The only other thing I'll throw out there is that it's possible that putting out a certain amount of pieces within a certain time-frame is a stipulation of getting these licenses in the first place.

This is true, and it will gradually cut into Sideshow's sales and force them to adjust, at least if they're savvy, which I think they are. If they keep pushing ESs and prices, something will give and there will be an adjustment.

Can you at least wait till we see the prototype before tearing these announcements to shreds? Also, Sideshow is a pretty big company. Just because they've got people working on Red Sonja doesn't mean they have to be ignoring other licenses because of that.
