I think you can buy the original mini statue for less than this on eBay. Seems they made a ton of them. Honestly we are hitting the saturation point with this statue. I get they want to beat every last cent out of this artwork but enough is enough. I expect to see a 1:3 scale next. Why not if someone is willing to sculpt it. Frazetta had a lot of other amazing pieces that are being ignored. I'd love to see some of his inks and watercolors come to life somehow. In fact, some of the water colors are my favorite pieces, rough as they are. Heck I'd buy a statue of the famous Buck Rogers cover in 3D form.

They go for about $100 on ebay give or take. If I didn't have one and was in the market I would probably consider one of these new ones. Looks a bit "fresher".

At least ARH is doing multiple pieces.

Tell me about saturation point...got an early garage resin kit of the DD steed also the Bowen and dark horse versions and ordered the ARH NYCC 1/4 scale, 3D overkill at my house of this painting.

I also have the Bowen, the Darkhorse mini, and have ordered the ARH. I think the DD in general is overdone. I also have the Paquet DD with a head, the DDIII standing with an axe somebody did. There are several kits in various poses and a couple of busts out there. There is the DDII 7" from the masters series, I am passing on the ARH DD3 to afford some of the others.

I am just glad Frazetta stuff is getting done again and it looks like ARH is going to be doing some more stuff, both from iconic paintings and even lesser known sketch work, which is cool.

I love the Deathdealer character and image and to me it can't be overdone if it's different poses...Same with Conan, just keepum coming.

Anybody heard anything about a permanent second Frazetta museum in Austin TX, more or less run by Robert Rodriguez that would feature Holly's portion of the Frazetta paintings and possibly Billy and Heidi's as well?

Do you mean of the Dark Kingdom or DD on a horse? Here is his Dark Kingdom, I was just there yesterday but didn't take any pics of the DD on a horse that he repainted (the Bowen 13.5" size)

Was just talking about this in one of the ARH threads specific to a certain statue but just curious. Which Frazetta Statues did you guys order from ARH and why did you choose those over the others?

I ordered

Atlantis
DD on Horse
and Barbarian w girl

Passed on

Huntress - not one of my favorite painting and base to large for display in room I have

DDIII - I already have the 1/4 scale based on the revised painting Frazetta did and I'm happy with it.

Virgin of Mahar - because it was sold out before I had made up my mind

Deathdealer steed NYCC, Frazetta's Barbarian/girl and DDIII... The other DDIII is in 1/6 scale.
