Let's talk about scanner options for our artwork

Does anyone here have any recommendations on a scanner?

Preferably a flatbed and one that can scan A3 sized items.

Most of the ones i've seen are really expensive or they are massive workstations, of which I don't have the room for.

I've used a couple of flatbed scanners, but they always seemed hinky and wouldn't work right half the time. I've had this Brother MFC-J6720 DW (printer/scanner) for a few years now and it works flawlessly.

When I was looking a year ago, it seemed like they really didn't make 11x17 flatbed scanners anymore.

I ended up buying a 50+ pound workstation monstrosity just to scan my commissions.

I bought an Epson - WorkForce WF-7620 on sale for $199.99 around black friday. It's huge and heavy but its the only thing I could find with an 11x17 scan bed.

Best of luck to you

I have heard good things about Brother. IIRC, there are options that will scan 11x17 for much cheaper than this particular model as well but I don't have the model number

That doesn't sound unreasonable price-wise, just heavy

Seriously! I'd love to get a Workforce, but man, my 2000 sq foot house is not nearly big enough to house something like that.
