Cave troll repair
Wow awesome job!
Was curious what kind of paint you used and what you mean by a "quick spot prime" ? did you use any type of paint remover or blender?

Basically to prepare the area to accept paint and have lasting strength, I prime the area with Testors Dullcote. It's a clear laquer based sealer that does not alter the any color. After that, I had to custom mix the colors that were applied to blend in the repair. As for paint, I use whatever I need to get the job done....paints such as Badger Freak Flex, Vallejo, Golden, ComArt, FW Inks, etc. Basically water based paints. Does that help?
