I took it as dark metal "comic readers", not "statue collectors".

That said, this piece does look pretty cool. I still won't buy it because it'll have some inflated price and I have zero attachment to the source, apart from thinking they look neat. Still, for the couple who pick it up, it'll be an eye catcher.

so did i

in all honestly im sure theres an audience for this, hell i have a couple "metal" statues myself but im wondering how many people are down for paying $1200+ shipped for this version of robin? it seems more like a character you would see from a fan art studio where the es really is 50

I agree, it's very niche. I don't think the ES will be over 200, and that's probably generous without seeing the full reveal but an easy guess, given the other pieces in the line.

Fwiw I think it's a cool concept and I even own the original Dark Knights metal (BWL) comic but I can't imagine shelling out this kind of coin for one, even if I do think it looks neat based on the early teaser.

XM must be selling these Metal statues because they keep pumping out teasers. Easy pass for me though as I just didn't get into the story.

Love the story, but these are fleeting characters in a one-off story. Not something to buy a statue of.

Looks good. The scary tree Batman proves to me that XM would make a killer Clayface.

That's how I feel about it. Except I only liked the story, not love it.
