I wasn't crazy about the helmet to be honest. And the sword is nice, but not all that "iconic". I will probably get the axe and shield.

Axe and shield look good, helmet doesn't look ominous enough and the sword they have the pommel and guard the wrong way from blade.

Just ordered the axe. Debating on the shield. This probably means I'm out on Catgirl. I was hesitant about the base on that anyway.

Probably once a month I look over your collection.

What do you think of the Sideshow stuff?

I own almost no Sideshow stuff for about 4 reasons, which is no disrespect to people who like Sideshow stuff.

1. I detest clothing on statues. Hate it. That said I would have gotten the most recent SS Red Sonja, it is by far the best IMO and I know it is technically "PF" but not with clothes per se. The reason I didn't is she isn't my favorite character and isn't Frazetta so I only wanted one in my collection and for a long time I considered HH the best but not quite good enough. Then the 35th Anniversary by Dynamite came out and I loved it so I bought that one. If I could sell that I would buy the SS one but they don't bring squat on ebay so I will keep what I have.

2. I also detest articulated statues. So while some amazing likenesses are being done if they are poseable it is a deal breaker for me.

3. I don't really collect any comic book related stuff

4. If there is a movie character related piece the factory paint jobs just don't retain the likeness I need. Even if the prototype is spot on the factory typically isn't. If it is movie related I prefer a kit and then have it pro painted. Just as an example here is my Heisenberg bust by Saul

Did you have any particular SS piece in mind? I like their Perseus but again with the cloth, so no.

I should have been more specific. I meant the Death Dealer Axe, Shield, Helmet and Sword. I guess it's not really Sideshow, but they are selling it.

Oh duh, my bad, I should have known that. I didn't look at it very closely but in my opinion don't like the helmet, sword and shield look really cool, axe is kind of meh for me. I used to think I wanted to get in to that stuff too but then decided quite a few years ago to quit. I have a really cool functional replica of the sword from 1982 Conan movie, it is very heavy. I also have a couple of kind of medeaval style axes but that is about it. I wouldn't have room for any more stuff like that. But I know guys that are into it and have phenomenal collections. They will probably be buying them.

The good thing is I can hang them on the wall so I don't need shelf space. I'm in the process of creating my "man cave" and they will look great over the bar.

That sounds really cool! Are you getting all of them? Be sure to post pics.
