Truly sad. I always liked his gruff but endearing characterizations over the years. Movies like First Blood, Never Cry Wolf, F/X and F/X 2 come immediately to mind. R.I.P.

A Prince among actors. I saw him in Death Of A Salesman on Broadway & he was just amazing. One of the best, raw acting performances I've ever seen. I've probably seen most of what Dennehy has done on film, but his one role that I watch every year or so & absolutely love was his role as a resort barthender in Blake Edaward's movie 10. A small part ... but he made it huge.

Ah, yeah, I used to love that movie, too. Haven't seen it in forever, but I remember really liking him and Dee Wallace in it.
