I actually like this pose and concept a lot, but man, $400 is way too much for such a small piece. This would've been so cool to see in a larger size with more detail. Maybe plastic/resin for the fiery bits and more color variety on the body. I know there's not much they can do for this particular monster, but at least some subtle weathering or dusting on the skin so it's not solid black.
Just look at the rock he's sitting on. It's like the entire paint budget went to making the rock look as realistic as possible -- and it's beautiful indeed, very complex for what it is. But the creature on top of it looks so plain in comparison.
