I knew Chrissy years before we started dating, she worked in a different NYC location at a copy company we worked for and we were both shift managers.
Anyway I used to do all the training for the East coast and I trained a Manager that eventually went to work with Chrissy. We started chatting on the phone about him, and I said I train everyone the same, he is just very smart and motivated and you would never know....then I just stopped. I mentioned we went out for beers after the shift and he confided in me a secret and I couldn't say. Well after a few minutes of her begging me to tell her I finally said he has an artificial leg from a freak fishing accident when he was 11, so he learned to walk with it so you would never know ! She was shocked and felt bad but was impressed that you couldn't tell he had a fake leg.
I just told her that he had a complex about anyone staring at his leg and never to do that. So she thanked me for trusting her with that story.
I then called the trainee and filled him in on the story and told him to go up to her and as her..."Uh...Chrissy why do you keep staring at my leg ?" He told me the look on her face was absolute horror ! lol She called me and screamed at me, like "I don't even know you how can you pull that kinda crap on me ??!! "
Who knew that about 8 years later we would be living with each other ! lol
|
