I wouldn't be surprised. They seem to be covering their backs on everything else now too. Like all the "prototype" labels on their website.

Yeah, I think all the returns and canceled orders over the past year or so are finally starting to affect their bottom line.

They are trying to save $0.02 cents on each.

Obviously I'll have to pay it in full. $400 plus ca tax plus shipping ...so about $460 or so

Can someone please explain to me how this would be true?

On the XM site says "Prototype" as well and the production piece is exactly the same as the proto.

Good luck you two and everyone else getting one. Mine looked fine at first inspection, but when I started actually looking her over, there were so many paint issues. And to have so many on just her torso. There are so many pieces, it scared me as soon as I opened her. Lots of assembly.
I was going to do a StatueForum review on her, but there was no way I was going to assemble her completely for it. I was just going to do it piece by piece. I didn't get the opportunity to test any magnets, but they have to be strong. I know recent pieces have had strong magnets.
I didn't want to even deal with the piece anymore. I sealed it right back up and she is ready to ship out.
