I go by a looser definition of the term.
Obviously I'm not questing for years to find a single unobtainable piece. I doubt anyone is.

However, there are those sought after, highly expensive pieces that are just outside our reach.

Also, you could have a favorite piece that really signifies your love for collecting.

If I had to say what I consider a "grail" piece for myself it would be the Darth Talon PF, simply because I don't have it yet, all of them are happily owned in the hands of collectors or eBay sellers that are asking five times the original selling price, which I find hard to rationalize paying. For that price I could buy almost all of the Mythos pieces I want.

Grail is personal preference to me. A lot of times here price is a factor too. And many of those I don't want. Like one of those Hulk statues. It will be interesting to see what happens to that Doom grail piece when Sideshow's newer version comes out.

I said it a year or so ago but a statue like the Aayla Secura PF will become a "grail" soon since that stuff is now off limits and Gentle Giant won't be able to make their version.

^ I probably should have worded it different. What I was getting at was "one's personal prized piece". That special piece maybe yiu saved along time for. That piece that turned out better than you though. That piece you will never part with. Guess being a new collector I didnt realize the word grail is forbidden.

Don't let it bother you. Right now I only have 2 pieces I wouldn't part with. Spiderman CQ and Lurtz PF EX. They might not be grails in most peoples minds but they make me smile when I look at them and really enjoy owning them. To me that's what it is all about.

LOL. That's what happens to me for anything in my collection.
