I'm inquiring as to what is missing. I asked if it were his portfolios, which I've seen so I know what to look for, or commissions he's done for others, etc. I will update everyone when I know. Eric is up there with one of my favorite artists and is a fun guy to hang out with at cons, so I wanna do my part in helping. Thanks guys, you all rule!

For one of my jobs I work at a local comedy club as a bouncer. I've ended up setting up and selling merchandise (shirts, dvds, cds, etc) for the comics after the shows; allowing them to meet with fans, take pics with them, etc. This is on a small scale of things as the club holds around 250 people, but I can say that even on this scale it gets a bit hard to watch everyone and keep an eye on all the stuff on the tables. I would imagine that SDCC with the many thousands of people walking through all day makes all the more challenging.
In this instance it could be someone who intended to steal the stuff or could be someone who just saw what appeared to be an opportunity. Either way, these pieces should be pretty identifiable based upon what they are. That should make the resale of them through public channels to pretty difficult.
If you could find out specifics of what was taken, I am sure that everyone will keep an eye out for them to surface. Sucks to hear about this and hopefully EBAS can get his stuff back.

This really sucks. I was looking through this binder at ComicCon. Some really good stuff inside.
Whoever stole this is going ot have a hard time selling this if that's what their goal is. This is a small/tight community of collectors.

Update from Eric on what to look for:
2 Black Itoya porfolios were snatched, these would be the in the 11x17" - 13x19" range to hold comic board.
These were taken from the Zenescope booth on Friday.
Portfolio #1 was filed to the max with 48 pieces of original art, mostly covers and some sequential pages.
Portfolio #2 had over 50 prints of all his Copic gray marker commissions that he has posted on his FB. These are 13x19" in size and UNSIGNED.
