Rumor is he did motion capture for GH3 and will be a playable character after you of course duel him and win.

It is now confirmed that Slash is the boss in Guitar Hero 3 and has written an original track for the game.

Sweet! I'm a giant fan of Slash. I'll probably pick up GH3 as a formality, but lets be real, Rock Band is going to be where it's at.
