Okay, shout out to SpecFicition/Todd has taken care of me once again. Money has been fully refunded to my banking account and all is good. Not that I have worried, because all of my dealings (almost 20K worth) with Todd/SpecFic have been all good and positive. It did take a little longer than I expected, but he did say that he would take care me on Monday and he kept his word.

Stuff happens and sometimes all it takes is a little understand and communication.

Todd/Spec are still good in my book for what it is worth.

When you buy from a retailer - it's a contract between you and the retailer. If the retailer can not complete the contract - they are liable for any fallout.

This is precisely why retailers can sell products that the manufacturer can't due to licensing restrictions related to sales regions. It's a loop hole that allows the manufacturer to effectively dodge those regional restrictions because, technically, there's no contract with the customer in the restricted region.

Unfortunately for retailers who do this, that loop hole works against them in the event of a claim due to damage, or if the company goes bankrupt, or decides to out-right cancel a statue.

I'm just surprised that if this statue is cancelled, that Spec Fiction hasn't reached out to their customers to offer a refund. It seems a little shady that they're waiting for the customer to approach them....what if the customer doesn't follow the statue news that closely, and just trusts SF - it will come when it comes....

We are in the process of doing this now. We would never in a million years not refund the customer if the item is cancelled.
