Losing someone is very difficult and hard. When I my dad past away 10 years ago, it was the most difficult of times for me. He will always be with you in heart & spirit. I wish you and your family the very best King.

I'm so sorry to hear this, and have been thinking about this subject myself. My dad, who's 88, is in failing health and lives half the country away. I went to visit him two weeks ago and am bringing my family out for Thanksgiving. I fear we haven't much time with him and your message is a warning to me to be sure I spend the time, in person and on the phone, with him that I can.
I'm so very sorry for your loss.

Wow King! I don't know what to say. I'm feeling your pain in a sense that I feel my dad may not make it past this year myself. He's always had health issues since he was younger and now in near shut down mode. He is hardly responsive now too.
Sometimes I feel guilty being impatient with him. I must honestly say that 16 years of taking care of him and never getting better is taking its toll on my mom, my brother and myself being primary caregivers. I'm just so tired.
I too always thought my dad would be around forever and now knowing that his mortality is imminent, I just don't know how to prepare myself.
2 songs come to mind now would bring me to tears. Dance With My Father and The Living Years
My deepest condolences, King. God bless you and the grieving family.

Thanks for your advice; I'm going to call my parents right now.

I'm real sorry to hear this brother. I know how it feels to lose a family member, but I don't know how it feels to lose a parent....yet. I almost lost my dad a couple years ago and it really depressed me, but he made it through, thankfully; it really tore me up to see him the way he was.
I make sure I keep in contact with them quite frequently and go visit them often since they only live 10 minutes away. I'll keep ya in my prayers bro.
