You are most correct, sir. And it was this Kirby vision off of which Roy Thomas (and Big John Buscema) modeled the Vision we know and love.

yes, the resemblance is unmistakable now that you mention it.
The pic my brother posted looks a lot like the classic "behold the Vision" cover too. (first appearance if I remember correctly?)
nice touch

Joe Simon and Jack Kirby created this first version of The Vision way back in 1940 in a comic book called Marvel Mystery Comics #13. Unlike today's Vision, this one was actually an alien from an alternate dimension and would appear when in our dimension in clouds of smoke.

Not sure which issue of Marvel Mystery Comics this image is from, though.

It´s actually from that same Marvel Mystery #13 (November 1940).... The first page, actually.

The way Vision approached "those responsible" for what happened to him (sans Wanda), and Cap's discussion with him... for someone who doesn't buy individual issues anymore, I'm glad I bought this one.

I'm not the biggest Bendis fan out there, but he handled this brilliantly. I'm definitely pickin' up AvX #0, as well.

I'd love to own any of the pages of the Jen/Vision portion; the body language of both characters perfectly fits the tone of the conversation they're having. Beautiful stuff.

I'm glad the original Vision is back and the young Vision is gone.

Was there ever any doubt Thor would not rise from the dead?

Now, bring back Jean Grey!
