That said, while I'm totally excited for this next entry, I can't help but see the glaring similarities between Iron Fist and Arrow. Fingers crossed it's more original than the trailer indicates.

Hey, I thought the same thing. We'll see.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the mask/costume handled similarly to how DD was. By the end of S1 he'll have evolved. At least that's my hope.

Early reviews aren't good. This could be Marvel TV's first clunker.

Keep in mind most of the early reviews were based off the first 6 episodes, not the entire 13 episode run. Add to that the politically correct diversity police can't seem to let go of the fact Marvel didn't change the ethnicity of Danny Rand simply because the subject matter surrounds martial arts and there is a heavy amount of built in bias.

Exactly. The sad part is that most of the so called critics haven't even read an Iron Fist comic book in their lifetime. SMH

and if he was an Asian they would be whining about stereotyping. basically you can't win so people need to just stop playing their game altogether.

Critics have been underwhelmed by the first 6 episodes they received early to review. I am hopeful that the second half is better.
Colleen Wing is likely to be my favorite character.

What confuses me is why Netflix/Marvel releases less than half the series to critics. What purpose does that serve? Would you release 40% of a film to be reviewed? They're definitely in a unique position with how they release an entire series in one shot but to me they're undermining the advantages of that practice by breaking it up for critics.
By comparison the first half of Cage was amazing! The second half, while good, wasn't as impressive. Jessica Jones was much the same and both seasons of Daredevil were the exact opposite. If you're going to release the body of work as a whole then why not judge it as a whole?
