That's an interesting pairing! I haven't seen The 13th - will check it out.

Maggie (2015) - 8/10

A nice twist on the standard zombie routine. It avoided the standard tropes and features a very subdued and touching performance from Arnold Schwarzenegger... Who would have thought?

Deepwater Horizon (2016) - A dramatization of the April 2010 disaster, when the offshore drilling rig Deepwater Horizon exploded and created the worst oil spill in U.S. history.

The special effects looked good. Beyond that, this is an average disaster-adventure movie, albeit one based on a real-world event. 5/10

The Wall is a mildly entertaining film about China's last line of defence against an ancient enemy. The set design and costumes are amazing and the movie is a visual feast for the eyes. The narrative is generic and unoriginal hence my score of 6/10. Most of that score going towards the technical aspects of the movie.

Under sandet / Land of Mine (2015) - A young group of German POWs are made the enemy of a nation, where they are now forced to dig up 2 million land-mines with their bare hands.

This sad and untold war story stayed with me long after the movie was over. 8/10

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Probably my favorite of Tarantino's.

Magnificent performance by Christoph Waltz!
