I'm in no hurry, J. I'm very glad that you're looking into bronze, and that you're letting us know way in advance.

I'm not yet sure what scale/format works best for me.. whatever it is, it has to be "affordable" and not have a wasteful footprint.

So for example, in a dio, have the characters locked somewhat in mid-air to reduce the base's size. If feasible, I think the dioramas and single statues should be in the same scale. Collectors love uniformity and hate changing scales.

I lean on 1/5 rather than 1/6 mostly because of Cammy. I want her to look her best in bronze!

But now I think I'd rather have my ultimate Ryu to be the ultimate mixed-media statue in order to differentiate him from a future bronze offering.

Okay, thanks for answering my question. I go with a dio at 1/5

This is something I wanted to do as a personal project, but I think it deserves the bronze treatment.

I would so totally be up for 1:5 or 1:6 full figure like the existing Bowen and Moore true bronzes. 1:4 would be pretty pricey, I would think.

1:5 or 1:6 could be solid bronze and wouldn't weight all that much. Bowen/Frazetta Death Dealer is solid as is Moore's Pitt and neither of those would give you a hernia if you lifted it.

Not really interested in faux bronze or busts.

never really liked bronze statues...reduced detail and one tone bronze color isnt for me....but as long as this doesn't turn into the Bowen designs fiasco with everything being reissued into faux bronze and devaluing the line, i dont mind

Not for me, don't like bronze statues, but nice to know you'll be bringing out more street fighter goodness!

If these would just be rehashes of the same sculpts, then none.

Real bronze would only be bought by a very few selected collectors. IMO Bronze or Faux Bronze is on a decline. It's just way too expensive. Bowens FB line are over priced and sales are now in a decline due to how many he has flooded in these markets.

Real bronze with patina? Is that what you are going for? If so, do it in 1/4 scale statue and/or 1:1 bust.
