Sir...(E.S.) If I can't ever get good at sculpting.. you'll be the first I'll go to for my Ideas, I just hope I can do it /
For now.. I'm waiting to get some cash to set up my area and supply's..
I wanna do 1/3rd or 1/4th scale sculpts "females" a bit on the nude side, taste-full nudes tho
Cash flow has been an issue.. specially w/collecting the FFG line and playing catch up w/statues I haven't gotten yet

Thank you SIR, this is why you are such a worthy guy
to have an honorable thread in your name, in my book & as well as many others here has agreed

Eric.. Sir.. been looking at the boiling tech..with sculpt putty but no mention of how thick a peace can be..?
I'm thinking of a 5/10gal pot if my sculpts are to be 22+ inch's or so, do you boil your sculpts, my stove doesn't
go to 225deg, the lowest is 350deg ?
What do you recommend for wire as the skeleton for that size (type of material and gauge's) ?

Can't wait to hear what tips and techniques you use,
this is going to be awesome......

Wow, thanks!
Actually my apologies, I don't know much about boiling stuff, I just bake, and transfer to wax.
I recommend for what seems to be 1/3 scale or Cinemaquette size...a rather strong armature wire... hmm ..let me check .. I have some of that wire somewhere....
OK got it....
You need 1/4 of an inch thickness for a sculpture that large.
Here's a link hope it helps

Thank you Sir..
I usually don't call people younger than me Sir but
Its out of respect n' admiration for what you do..
(most Professionals don't help others like you do) TY !

Oh... any updates to the FFG line

Do you think I should cut the statue's into 2parts (like at the hip/middle of the peace) ?
or is it better to cut them at the limbs to cure the sculpt putty.., I'm worried if I used the oven, they would burn up,
before the core is cured and at the size I wanna do I think its best to make sure the core has cured well, do you agree ?
