I finally got mine in Thursday night, and got it fully unboxed today.
Considering the circumstances, the two day delay in delivery was quicker than I expected- though when I saw the condition of the shipper, I almost refused it. How the hell did a perfectly rectangular chunk get cut out?
It didn't sound like anything was loose and rattling around, so I took it... but sheesh.
Both the art box and 'foam inside were almost as distressed as the shipper. Fortunately the packaging was designed well and everything came out intact.
I do have a few mild criticisms, but overall it's a phenomenal statement piece for this character.
Great size, too, Quite a bit of presence and impact for a 1/5 without being too unwieldy.
It's also going to be a hell of a lot of fun coming up with an effective lighting scheme for it.
I decided it deserves it's own dedicated riser- with some strategically placed spotlighting built in. Maybe incorporate some fiber optics for sparks? Should be a nice project for the next couple months.
Till then I'll be playing around with the pucks and LED strips I already have.
