Been a long while since I travelled again and was so excited to finally go out and shoot.

Spent a week in Bali and captured these.

Fire dance in Uluwatu.

A beautiful sunset in Uluwatu. On the right you can see a Hindu temple.

A temple in Bedugul. This temple rests on a crater lake 1,000 meter above sea-level.

Batik dress being hand painted. High-end Batik fabric goes up to a thousand US dollars.

Dubbed as the 'world's most expensive coffee', Kopi Luwak are just ordinary beans fed and digested by Civet. A kilo costs around US$500.

Taken at Sawarna beach in West Java. This coast is facing Indian Ocean and has one of the roughest seas in the country. It is very popular with surfers but the lack of decent roads leading to the place is a big hindrance in bringing in more tourists.

Taken using:
Canon 5D Mark II
Canon 16-35mm f2.8
Shutter speed: 0.6 seconds
Aperture: f22
ISO: 100
Using ND8 filter

Thank you furycat. Ubud in Bali? I did. Me and my family went there and visited the Batik and woodcraft factories. Although it was really nice to see how they are made, the exorbitant prices is a let down. I would prefer buying them in Yogjakarta or Solo.

Thank you Sithlord32. I'm just lucky to work in an industry where I can do the 2 things I love most, travel and photography. But traveling around Indonesia is really a challenge. The lack of better roads normally consumes much of the travel time. But this country has a lot to offer in terms of photography spots. The one I went to over the weekend has one of the most rugged shorelines and roughest seas in the whole of Indonesia but it offers one of the best seascape photo opportunities.

Yeah I bet the roads are rough but off the beaten path is where most treasures lye and you defiantly found some of them!

So true. There is a saying in photography that goes "Beauty starts where the road ends" or something like that

My journey in Indonesia comes to an end on Saturday. It has been a fruitful 18-month assignment here. My 3rd time working here and I've traveled the country much more this time than the first 2 combined. Thanks everyone for visiting this modest thread. I'll create another one once I get to my next destination.

Til then, Sampai Jumpa and keep on shooting!
